  1. Fleta Tinnes

The show was phenomenal with a full 2 hours of Arlo and his children (Abe and Sara Lee) singing classic hits and telling great and funny stories! We had a great view with front row seating. The F.M. Kirby Center is a classic venue to see a show. The acoustics at the venue are great. Highly recommended for both the artists and venue!

  2. Andria Bergsman

He is such an icon and part of our history. It was so nice that he played with his children.
Great, great concert! See him if you are able.

  3. Julianne Stirewalt

I absolutely loved Arlo Guthrie’s performance. He performed with his son and his daughter who has a gorgeous voice and sang several solos. A great mix of music – I loved every minute.

  4. Malcom Blind

Carolina is one of the best venues in the state to have a more intimate experience with the performers. The acoustics are on point, the lighting is great and the ease of the evening is great. Arlo and his family performed a very nice show. I had seen him twice in the 70’s and he is as entertaining now as my memories serve me from those previous shows.

  5. Devon Boeshore

Very enjoyable. Arlo and his daughter Sara Lee Guthrie perforrm songs that are inspirational and downright fun. Arlo played Alice’s Restaurant Massacre with the same enthusiasm as he always does, and the sing-alongs from both were superb. Don’t forget Abe Guthrie on the keyboards, and the son (I don’t know his name) on percussion. Next time you have a chance to see Arlo Guthrie in person, GO!

  6. Zachariah Knieper

show was very enjoyable. his and daughter’s interaction with the audience was also fine. wish son would have been. some people complained that he didn’t do alice and that’s what they paid for. i somewhat agree but it was still a nice concert.

  7. Lanny Roberson

My husband saw an announcement about the upcoming Arlo Gutherie concert in Columbus Monthly, while waiting in an office. We bought the tickets on line and printed at home.
GREAT night. The venue is a nice size for this kind of concert. Arlo’s story telling between music is fascinating and lends more interest to his songs. His voice is strong and on tune. Whether playing one of his several guitars or the keyboard, he was right on the money.
Arlo’s adult daughter, on stage with him, had a phenomenal voice. Telling how she wrote the songs before she sang them, lets you know she learned well from her father. Near the end of the 2nd half she sang a song written by her grandfather, Woody Gutherie .
Arlo’s son, on the keyboards, didn’t miss a beat either on the keyboard or on backup singing.
Rounding out the group was the drummer (I don’t know his relationship to the group). The whole group appeared tight knit and worked very well together.
I had such a good time, I bought several CDs to continue the experience and have not been disappointed! If you get a chance to see them, its well worth your time and money.

  8. Dia Cramblit

Always a pleasure to hear Arlo in person! Very nice at the Kirby! His kids are very talented as well. It was a most enjoyable evening.

IF a concert is within driving distance, GO to a Guthrie concert. Arlo Guthrie is a musician you do not want to miss. As a writer, musician, authentic folksinger, and humorist with stories; he is everything one hopes.
His daughter Sarah has the music gene and has written personal pieces that touches one’s heart through her purity of voice and words.
His son completes the trio of Guthries through his harmonizing and keyboard, and drummer completes the sound.

  10. Charlette Modique

Beautiful music, hilarious, intimate, poignant, personal. Loved every minute. Hope he comes back to Raleigh/Durham area SOON. Love that his son and daughter were performing with him too.

  11. Andrew Aleksey
