Richard Anthony Monsour (born May 4, 1937), better known by his stage name Dick Dale, is an American rock guitarist, known as The King of the Surf Guitar. He pioneered and created what many call the surf music style, drawing on Middle-Eastern music scales and experimenting with reverberation. He worked closely with Fender to produce custom made amplifiers, including the first-ever 100-watt guitar amplifier. More...

Great to see legendary guitarist up close in small venue. Put on a great show & played a good slection on tunes.

  2. Suellen Guererro

I have seen Dick Dale before and he put on a great show but this time it was amazing. His son Jimmy on the drums and Sammy on the bass kicked ass. I will come and see them every time they play here in Phoenix. The rhythm room needs to get them back soon! If you want to see a show that takes your breath away go see Dick Dale.

  3. Machelle Janek

As a guitar player, I wanted to see Dick Dale. He is a bit of a legend. When he played it was pretty impressive, but out of 90 minutes on stage, he played maybe 5 songs, and rambled on for more than half the time. Glad I went, but I don’t need to see it again.

  4. Rafael Rambin

Oh, my god. He looks great, sounds great and plays with the energy of a man just starting out. This is a show you don’t want to miss.

  5. Deann Cheli

This is the second time I’ve seen Dick Dale in concert. This time around, 15 years later, he was actually better than before, if that is possible. If you’ve never seen him, do yourself a favor and go see his show. Absolutely phenomenal and unique. This guy is a legend and it’s amazing to see a 75 year old move and perform like a 40 year old. When I was born in 1957, he was developing guitars and amps with Fender that would stand up to his playing. Now, 55 years later he’s still going strong.

  6. Clarence Kirkman

One of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. Got right up close to the stage and I could see everything down to the stickers on his guitar! I love the way he moves to the music. What a guitar player. A real live living legend. And his son on the drums was soooo unbelievable. Very entertaining and very acoustically pleasing. Dick Dale is kind of before my time in chronology; but I believe that his music and technique are legendary and really timeless. I really wish he would come back soon. Great concert; I highly recommend this concert as NOT TO BE MISSED!

  7. Lucretia Mechem

Even standing in the back I could easily see the fantastic guitar work. Dick plays like no one else and it was a real treat to see him live do what no one else can. Lots of great songs, but also a lot of telling health stories like an old man. Yes, so you new wife saved you life and the doctors are dim, but we’re here for the music! Some cool old stories too but play more please, you’re a legend. This man is such a gentleman, he is hard to dis, and the music makes up for everything. The bar tender was prompt and the price reasonable. The venue was wonderful. Price for the show was fair enough.
