I have been a fan of Pat Metheny since a teen (now in my 40’s) and I never got the opportunity to see him in concert. My uncle was the one to expose me to his music. And on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 I was able to show my appreciation to my uncle my taking him to see Pat Metheny for the very first time. It was amazing! Through his music, Pat Metheny takes you on an adventure in 3D. His music is warm and so gratifying.

As usual Pat surrounds himself with the best.
Great concert. Enjoyed hearing lots of old favorites with new twists from the slightly younger musicians. They all did a pretty hood job of keeping up with Pats energy and musical prowess.

I expected a warmup band/opening act and an hour from Metheny but he was onstage playing every song for 2 and a half hours! High quality, diverse, amazing music for the duration. I had always wanted to see him live and wondered how he would produce the sounds that are on the CD’s but he did it with four different guitars. He didn’t sing but his drummer, bassist and keyboard guy along with Metheny’s guitar matgic made for an exciting experience.
