I have gone to the last two events and the artists are always great to see. Some I haven’t heard from in a long time and surprised when they sound as good as they did back in the day. The highlights from this year were Salt N Pepa…they were worth standing the entire night…can’t wait to see them again. Berlin sounded as good as they did in the ’80s and wouldn’t mind seeing them again. 2 Live Crew were having fun performing and had the crowd jumping. My girl Lisa Lisa can do no wrong and she gives her all when she is on stage.
The people who are running the show need to get their act together though. I admit I arrived at 4:15 to the event but the problems getting in shouldn’t have been so bad. Both years the parking has been a mess. This year was the worst. After waiting 45 minutes to get to the point where I would pay to park they tell us the lot is full and we have to go to the offsite lot 6 miles away. We drove to the offsite lot and it wasn’t any better. The people directing traffic were worthless and the shuttles running people to the event took way too long to get everyone there. All together it took from 4:15 to 7:08 to make it through the gate. Almost 3 hours to park and get in the venue is ridiculous. After 11 years of doing this they should have it running smoother than this.

It was a fantastic show! We had great seats and danced the night away. So don’t just stand there bust a move!

Amazing show and definitely something I got to mark off the bucket list! Hearing Salt n Peppa sing “Push It” live, in person, was truly a once in a lifetime kind of experience. I loved how several of the performers engaged the crowd and brought them on stage.

This concert was so fun!! These singers maybe a little older than they were in the 90’s but they still rocked!

The concert was really fun and the atmosphere was so laid back. My husband and I both agree that the best performers were Kool Moe Dee, Rob Bass, Kid N Play and of course Salt n Pepa.

Such an awesome concert!! I’m a teen of the 90’s and this brought back so many good memories and good times in my life. Every performer was on point!! Kid n Play and Salt n Pepa were so interactive with the crowd and kept them entertained. Had a blast!

We really enjoyed the show! The only complaint was that all the artist performances felt rushed…maybe start the show earlier or take an act or 2 off the lineup. Overall great show.
    ..would go again!!!!

The show was awesome! So much fun dancing and singing along with old school bands. Once we were inside, it was an incredible experience. Stevie B closed the show just before 1:00 AM. Well worth it.
Parking situation was atrocious! Waited a good hour to get inside parking area, only to be directed to offsite overflow parking at a nearby mall. It took an hour to stand in line to get 2 drink and 30 min to get hot dogs and pizza.

This is, by far, one of the best concerts I have ever been to…maybe even the best! It was hubby and me and it was such a great time! Lots of dancing and singing along. All the hits you can think of from these artists that are still awesome now!

The concert was fun and it was great to hear the music I grew up with live but most of the artists only played snippets of their really popular songs and spent the rest of the time singing songs I hadn’t heard of or songs that were covers and getting the crowd to repeat after them. It could have been better but it was still a fun night. Salt & peppa and all 4 one were great. Everyone else was just ok.

This concert was awesome and pack full of artists who embodied the decade of hip-hop fun and enthusiasm. I was able to relive some of my favorite high school memories with some of my best friends from high school. I hope this is a concert series that adds more artists and continues to be on the concert circuit, after all, “my mic sounds nice” and “it takes two” to make a “fantastic voyage”.

We went to this concert as a girls night!! My best friend came all the way from Alabama too!! This concert was amazing! The only one that we didn’t enjoy was coolio, sucked big time! Other than that it was fantastic! Salt and pepa end it with a bang! This was an amazing idea and an an awesome girls night out for a mom who don’t get to get out that much!

The best part of this show was when the artists covered other bands/singers songs from the 90’s and not just their own stuff. All the songs brought back memories of middle and high school dances, military formals, and prom for me! It was great!

I wanted to see more of them. More of their songs….They were active-no back bends from back in the day but still they kept up well. I loved when they broke out with the jackets!! I saw them in Tupelo and the crowd was about 90% white-Spin played some Bon Jovi and something else that drive the crowd wild(I sat down on the part but still). Kid N Play brought it. Vanilla Ice wasn’t ready so they skipped him, he may have come out after Salt N Pepa but we left.

The entire show was very long and didn’t get over until after 11, but started at 7:30. My entire group was confused why some of the acts didn’t sing their entire song that they would be recognized for. It felt like little snippets of each song, including songs that weren’t even theirs. Vanilla ice we enjoyed because he was only singing his songs and didn’t branch off to much into other stuff. Candyman didn’t really sing other people’s songs either, but his skit could of been shorter.

Great Performers. Driving into the area was not organized. There was no one directing you where to go or where to park. Inside the venue the staff did not know where to seat the guests. I suggest you print a picture of where you are supposed to sit at a VIP $150 seat because the staff is clueless. The chairs in the VIP area are numbered out of sequence. I purchased 2 tickets so my wife and I could sit together. The untrained staff wanted my wife to sit at the front of the table and for me to sit in the back. The tables are numbered as follows. As you face the stage Chair #1 is in the front left. Chair #5 is in the front right. The event staff and supervisors don’t know this. They must have just showed up off the street I guess. In the VIP section we waited an hour for our drinks. The bartenders were slow and pathetic. They used a measuring cup for their pours. The lines were not cordoned off. Too many lane jumpers going on as the clueless staff looked on. This shows a lack of experience and that the event managers don’t care about the lack of organization. I wont go to this event next year hosted my by the sam clueless promoter.

All the artists sang their greatest hits so it was hard not to sing at the top of your lungs to every song. People watching the concert were a fun crowd too. I recommend getting a table. You are close enough and you don’t have to stand all day. Just getting seats (without a table) is a little farther back.

OMG! Tone Loc rocked the house, dude still has his strong voice and made the all women go wild. Disappointed @ no T-shirts sale.

Every band was Great! Until Coolio and Vanilia Ice. Should have gone home after Salt n Pepa. I always thought concerts end on a High Note? Coolio must have owed the main part of his act a man playing a Saxophone Money. I am not saying he couldnt play or doesn’t have a huge amount of talent. I don’t think anyone thought it was Legandary Hip Hop?
Same goes for Vanilia Ice. If you only got 1 song play it and get off.
I would go again but now I know when to leave.

As my sister put it we felt like we were at a high school talent show. I was upset I spent $5 on a bottle of water for a concert where I was looking at my watch thinking “is this a joke” I think Coolio was high on some serious drugs, he actually scared of us (there was 6 of us who all left disappointed) he actually sang the theme song to Keenan and Kel over some of his hits, Tone Loc sounded the way he always has the only thing be apparently didn’t care to be there he told is he literally just woke up. All 4 one were the only ones who put pride and care into their performance. And Salt n Pepa whatever 3 hour concert and they performed for roughly 30 mins and only sang 2 of their songs. all the performers performed songs that they didn’t ever sing, gave us way too many instructions “put yo hands up” I got a work out. I left very angry for my waste of money. And they brought so many ppl on stage that we couldn’t see the performer and it took so much time to get them off bc of all the selfies.

The concert was awesome! All of the performers did really well. I was slightly disappointed with CMB. All 4 One outshined them! CMB is my all time favorite group, but I think some more practice would do wonders for them! Coolio’s set was extra loud. It was hard to understand the words at time. Salt, Peppa & Spinderella were amazing! I loved Rob Bass, as well.

First let me say that Coolio should keep it original to the 90’s…the saxophone was a little much. However, he sang the songs we wanted to hear. Tone Loc, Kid ‘n Play, Salt-n-Peppa and Vanilla Ice were amazing! I thought they all did a great job. The DJ was also great, and kept the crowd hyped during set changes. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. There were people of all ages enjoying a night of great music!

Sound was terrible. Very distorted. Music overpowered performers. Language was filthy. You would think with retro concert that the language would be more mature. Salt n Peppa performance was too long. Too much of a delay between acts. Concert was so bad that 3/4 of the crowd left while Vanilla Ice was still singing.

If you are a fan of 90’s rap and hip hop music you must see this event. The concert started at 8:00 sharp and didn’t end until 11:15. No intermission and no time between groups other than them coming onto the stage. I had two 15 year old girls with me and they had a great time!

I was really looking forward to this event. However, the sound was awful. Most of the lyrics could not be understood, and some of the performance were not praiseworthy. Kid-n-Play was by far the best part of the show, with Salt-n-Pepa in a close second. The other performances were substandard. Vanilla Ice, it seemed, was just interested in having as many women on stage as he could get. He was often lost in the sea of people he had invited on the stage to dance. I was just expecting more. I realize they are much older now, but to be able to understand the lyrics, is not much to ask.
