Tedeschi Trucks was incredible! Also, a nice surprise was Amy Helms opening for them. She put on a great show too! The venue was really nice. I was in the back of orchestra and had a clear view. In addition, venue was very clean and acoustics was just right.

Amazing performance and excellent venue. The entire band was top notch, and especially Susan and Derek. I’ve seen several shows at the Warner going way back but it’s been quite a few years! Really enjoyed the decor, the intimate feel, and exceptional acoustics. Makes me want to visit DC again soon.

Even though we couldn’t see them because everyone stood for the entire show, hearing Tedeshi Trucks Band in person was quite an experience. The vocals, the brass, and the pure talent was amazing. What a great group!

Best performance that I have ever seen by any “name” band in Lafayette, LA!…and I have lived here for 14 years! Venue (Heymann Center) might not be state of the art. However, Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi are wonderful musicians. FIVE STAR! All the members of the band are top notch and are featured throughout the concert.

Given that Derek Trucks is one of the best slide players of all time and that Susan Tedeschi is one of the most emotive blues singers, my expectations were high. I was not disappointed! This is a band…not two stars with backing musicians. They are tight as a gnat’s ass and MUSICAL! Great dynamics and with 12 pieces (including two drummers) once they set up a groove it is as solid and unstoppable as a four engine freight train.
Did I mention that I liked them?

This show was better than I ever thought. There is so much talent with this band and Derek and Susan are incredible. Will definitely see them again when they are back in Chicago.

I’ve been wanting to see this band for a long time, so I drove 7 hrs to the iconic Warner Theatre in DC, and it didn’t disappoint. Derek Trucks guitar work, Susan’s amazing vocals, and an incredible band complete with a horn section and background vocals. Wow!

Parts of the performance were amazing and parts were totally unnecessarily long and drawn out. I felt like I was at a “jam session” rather than a concert. Many of their popular favorites were not included on the playlist.

The Tedeschi Trucks Band put on a great show with over three hours of fantastic music, and the audience was really into every song. Susan has such a wonderful, beautiful voice and Derek is a one-in-a-generation talent. Thanks to the TTB for a tremendous concert!

That’s one band that can seriously jam and if you love the blues, there’s probably very few other bands that play them like TTB.

the show was great. music was awesome. venue was ‘ok’. The audience tended to talk amoungst themselves more than listening/watching the show. This made it difficult to enjoy the show with all the chatter going on.

Tedeschi Trucks was awesome and so was the opening band, JJ Grey & Mofro. Overall, a fantastic show.

Seeing TTB at the Chicago Theater is a concert experience that you shouldn’t miss. It is a beautiful venue, but that is secondary to the band. With a fully loaded 12 piece band the TTB music crosses many genres. Of course blues but with the influence of gospel, jazz, southern rock and american roots music. Every member of the band gets a chance to shine and are up to the task. Then when the band puts its stamp on a cover version it makes its way into your head and stays there for weeks after the concert. If you were there you know what I mean. If you were not there – why?

This band never disappoints. They start strong and end stronger. Susan Tedeschi’s voice is amazing but her guitar solo was unforgettable. Their music feeds the soul.

This was my 10th TTB show. It was average at best compared to my priors ( which were at the Beacon nyc, or the Ryman). Maybe it was the house, a mid week show, too many nights in a row. But it was lacking energy, Amy Helm ROCKED the warm up!

We sat in the balcony, top row on the right hand side. We sit in these seats for every concert we see at the Ryman. This was the first time the ushers let so many people gather behind us. People were talking and noisy to the point we could not enjoy the music. There were a number of drunks in the group and were obnoxious. We ended up leaving early.

I have been an Allman Bros fan for nearly 40 years and I have followed Susan since her album “Just Won’t Burn”. I had seen both with their own bands, but I hadn’t seen TTB until Tuesday. They didn’t disappoint. Derek is a masterful bandleader. TTB has a lot of working pieces and he got the most out of all of them. There was a good crowd despite the fact there isn’t much room for bands like TTB on local radio in the QCA these days. The Adler and its staff was outstanding (as always). Finally, I appreciate Derek and Susan bringing Charlie Parr down from Minnesota to open. I had never heard him before (good player and interesting writing), but I will follow him now. All-in-all, it was a wonderful experience.

It’s TTB, always a good show. The fans with cameras — recording the entire time — is annoying. Talking during the show – annoying. If you are one of these people, stay home or take heed and LISTEN to the music. Have a good time, but FFS, stop recording the show with your phone over your head, stop engaging in lengthy conversations and know other paid for their seats and to have a good time, too. The band is awesome — the venue is incredible –take the moment & enjoy it. Love Derek and Susan!!

Amazing concert as usual for Tedeschi Trucks Band in this sold out show. I have seen them a number of times and they never disappoint. They did a number of songs from their albums and also did a couple of covers including The Allman Brothers’ Statesboro Blues, which was perfect and really had the audience going. Actually, they had the audience engaged the entire performance. Another cover was Leonard Cohen’s Bird on a Wire, popularized by Joe Cocker on his Mad Dogs and Englishmen Tour. Tedeschi performed this with a band member on piano and it was beautiful. Her voice is so rich and soulful and carries very well. Derek Trucks on guitar, one of the best. The whole band is truly professional and of course, I would see them again and again.

Although the talent was amazing, the sound engineer needs to be replaced. The vocals were muffled, largely inaudible and vastly overshadowed by the low frequencies of bass. The guitars likewise. This was a venue where many highly acclaimed performers put on excellent shows, to the likes of CSN, Steely Dan, Joe B., Earth Wind and Fire to name a few. Louder is not always better when a proper mix of low end and high end frequencies could have made the experience quite memorable instead of mediocre. Definitely talented but the level of talent was overshadowed and lost in the poor sound experience. Find another task for your sound engineer and hire one who knows how to properly mix tonalities to make the performance come alive.

I had wanted to see TT for some time and they did not disappoint. The only negative is that I sat on side on main level, and large speakers were on corners of stage so I could not see horn section and several singers. There was large overhead speakers so I dont know why these speakers were needed that blocked my view

With Tedeschi Trucks Band having so much talent in the band, I was disappointed in their stage presence. I feel like they mailed it in for their Ryman performance. Ryman is such a great place to see music so when someone is going threw the motions in a performance you sense it there, especially when you’ve seen so many great bands there.

Fantastic show, great set list – heard many favorites. Quintessential professional performance by a great band. Only downside is that folks stood the entire show so it meant we had to stand the entire show and then the balcony obscured part of your view. For us, we would only buy tickets in the balcony for the Ryman in the future. We were thrilled to be at the Mother Church in spite of the limited views.

I have always loved Susan Tedeschi ‘s music so this was a no brainer for a fun birthday. Marc Broussard got us in the mood. Tedeschi Trucks opened the show in a big band sound with dual drummers and an inclusive talented bluesy horn section. The background singers are so soulful. Sonny Landreth as a guest sealed the deal. There is so much respect for each other on this stage. This was a memorable show. It’s not called Wheels of Soul for nothing. We loved it. If they are close to you, don’t think twice and geaux!

The band seemed tired and couldn’t decide what to do. Although I enjoyed listening to SRV and Neil Young cover, we had to leave before hearing originals by the group. Also Jerks in the audience being disrespectful to the band and yelling while Susan was trying to do a slow soft song. Shes the real star of the show. Shame people get so drunk and rude with no manners at all.

I’ll start by saying Susan Tedeschi is a great vocalist/guitarist but the rest of the show was sub par. We went with the impression the show was going to start at 8pm, the opener was an amazing gentleman but after the T&T band took so much time setting up, a pro band would have had this done before hand it was a waste of my time and money.

Tedeschi Trucks is one of my favorite bands of all time and I’ve seen them between 10-15 times, not counting the times I’ve seen the Derek Trucks Band, Susan Tedeschi solo, and various incarnations of The Allman Brothers Band. Derek is one of my favorite guitar players of all time. Every show is full of fire and passion, and they feed off the energy of the music, the audience, and the venue and bring the house down without fail. But Saturday night something was different. It seemed like something was wrong and they were simply playing the songs. They were technically brilliant (with the exception of the mix) but there were no magical moments where the band locked into what Chris Robinson calls “The Song” and jammed into bliss. It just didn’t happen.

Susan Tedeschi has the most soulful voice. She displayed a bit of fun and humor during the concert. Derek Trucks seemed a bit low-key, as if giving the rest of the band the spotlight. His solos were awesome, as expected. The horns, piano, backup singers and bass were all equally talented. Ms Tedeschi and Mr Trucks give their band opportunity to show off their musical talents. Would go see them again and again.

Susan T’s voice and playing are still amazing as she went all out and gave it everything she has. Derick is great but for some reason he stayed in the left corner of the stage for most of the evening while playing. Their band and singers added great vibes to the evening. Sax player though has to go as his solo was on a planet I do not want to venture to.
