Top notch, spot on! Both the Turnpike Troubadours and Jason Isbell were at the top of their game! Great performances from both bands! Impressed with the tightness and musicianship of both bands! Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit are the real deal! Second to none.

Venue is great, easy to get to and parking was no problem! Jason Isbell and 400 Unit were fantastic! Brought my grandson who is a big fan and he had a great time! Our seats in the Pit were excellent as well. All in all it was a wonderful experience. Looking forward to attending more events in the future

This was my first trip to the Gears and Guitars festival in Winston Salem! I was impressed with the setup for the music and also the food and beverage! All the music acts also sounded great especially for an outside event and temporary setup!

Great show. One of the best that I’ve been to so far this year. Jason Isbell is one of the best song writers without question of this generation. A talent that I hope to see again soon and hope to see his wife ( Amanda Shires ) the next time also. A great talent in her own right. Hopefully the Unified Government will set aside some money in there budget to improve the Amphitheater. It has a long way to go in hopes of being compared to Starlight Theater, the potential is there but it’s going to take some money. We had a great time regardless.

Double headliner. First up Brandi Carlile – first time seeing her live – what a voice, what lyrics, what a performance – outstanding all round!! Then Jason – having seen him several times before, he didn’t fail. Another fantastic concert with Amanda Shires and the 400 Unit – great musicians each of them. We made the journey from Scotland to NY State to see them & it was well worth the effort.

Looking forward to the next time Isbell and the 400 unit, Turnpike Troubadours, and Old 97 are back in KC

The positive , Brandi’s set was great !
$30 for closer parking is price gouging. Jason Isbell was ok. Maybe a little loud for the venue acoustically.
The negatives , lots of tinny sounds . Needs to have acoustic sound absorbing panels located to absorb echos within the amphitheater. There was a high distortion. Kind of disappointed that a place of this level was so poorly set up and sound checked.
